This month’s theme was Watercolor!

Here’s what was included in the April box & why it was curated:

Watercolor has become such a popular technique on cookies, yet I find that some newer cookiers have been intimidated to try it. Personally I’m a huge fan of the technique that takes me back to my childhood. It reminds me of more simple times when we painted and created for the joy of it and didn’t worry about making mistakes or the end product being perfect. I hope that this box inspires you to do the same.

I chose the Wilton brand of icing colors as a recommendation from Arty McGoo. If you’re a cookier, you know who I’m talking about. She’s seriously a legend in the cookie world. She’s known for her incredible hand painted artistry on cookies. So…when the queen of painted cookies says that’s what she used, you’d better bet your biscuits I’ll use the same.

If you’re going to paint, you need a palette and brush right? No worries, we have you covered! The palette included in the box has just the right amount of wells to add all of your colors, areas to mix up the perfect shades, and closes for perfect storage. The waterbrush is a staple that I believe all cookiers should have in their arsenal. Whether you fill it with water or alcohol for painting, you can’t go wrong.

With ever cutter that is included in our boxes, I have one objective in mind…multiple uses. I love the the simple geometric shape of this heart cutter from Three T Bakers. It can be used for so many different themes like Valentine’s Day, wedding, baby, geometric designs, and even boho. The options are as vast as your imagination.

To close out the box, I included two items this month for YOU, the woman behind the cookies. The first item was a mini bar of artisan soap from Auburn Woods. I know the toil constant hand washing can do to your hands. These luxe soaps are sure to soothe and help prevent more damage. Each box has a different scent that you’re sure to love. Trust me, I smelled them all. 😉 The last item in the box was a package of calendar stickers from Carpe Diem to help you organize your day in a beautiful and inspiring way.

I truly hope you enjoy each and every item in the box and it ignites your creativity.
