There are so many women who inspire me and y’all Rachel Hollis is at the top of my list. So when I had the chance to attend another book signing event you better bet your biscuits I was going to make her cookies again. This time I decided to approach the project like Rachel would. Do it bigger, better, and go all in. That’s exactly what I did. I made a cookie replica of her book, Girl Wash Your Face. Until this cookie I had never painted on a cookie or a canvas for that matter. But I wanted to push myself and try something even if that meant I crashed and burned in the process. To up the ante I live streamed the entire process. I talk a lot about doing it scared without fear of failure. It’s one thing to do thing scared when no one is watching, it’s another thing to do it while all eyes are on you. I part of being a leader is being an example that you walk the walk and not just talk the talk. I’m so glad I did.
It was so much fun presenting Rachel with her cookie at her book signing. To make the memory even sweeter, I was with two of my best business friends, Anna Bannister of Re•nue Home Studio and Melissa Rieke of Melissa Rieke Photography.
